The Word of The People Accord | The Word Through Song (About Us)
We are passionate everyday people from various churches brought together in one accord, and we believe we have been called by God to spread the gospel through our creative gifts as believers who all carry the mandate of His Word. As in Isaiah 61 we are ministers of God called to preach the Good News and we do it through the arts and through the word of our testimony.
Worship is more than singing. It’s more than chords. It’s more than melodies and harmonies. It is more than songs. It is influence. It is declaration of the word of God. Declaration of the truth of God. We as The Word of The People believe in engaging with as many different people and platforms as possible. Not only that but we believe the message of God has the power to change things. So, by all means, invite us to your coffee shop, let us declare in song with the children at your schools and orphanages. Call us into your corporate setting as we change the atmosphere by incorporating drama, poetry, song and the arts. Let us worship together at your events in the church, community centers and the park. “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.”- Jesus of Nazareth, John 4:24

Service – “Whoever wants to serve me must follow me, so that my servant will be with me where I am. And my Father will honour anyone who serves me.” John 12:26
“For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” Galatians 5:13
Hope – “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.
Responsibility – “Therefore, brothers and sisters, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble.” 2 Peter 1:10
“And Jesus came and spoke, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.” Matthew 28:18-20
“Behold, I’m doing a new thing” that’s a line in one of our songs but more importantly it’s derived from a beautiful scripture in the book of Isaiah. The actual scripture says “Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road…
